The elephant in the room is really a cow. With more than 1.5 billion cows on earth, emissions from the livestock industry is the third largest leading cause of anthropogenic greenhouse gases globally (15%).
Even though we have known this for the last 10 years, it has largely been ignored, and there has been no commercially viable solution addressing this important challenge until now.
At the 7th World Climate Summit on November 13 2016, Mootral™ hosted a workshop to tackle this topic. We called it The Elephant in the Room is Really a Cow.
The workshop raised awareness around livestock emissions and allowed us to start conversations with potential stakeholders and partners on how together we can tackle emissions in livestock to help reach the Paris Agreement targets.
