COP24 – KATOWICE 2018

From December 2-14 th 2018, about 20 thousand people from 190 countries including politicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations, scientific community and business sector will meet in the Polish city of Katowice for the UNFCCC COP24, to reinforce public awareness on a global scale about the problems related to Climate Change.

COP24 will be an important milestone for the Paris Agreement. “COP21 saw the birth of the Agreement. In Poland, as I call it Paris 2.0, we will put together the pieces, directions and guidelines in order to make the framework really operate.” (Patricia Espinosa, UN Climate

This year’s motto of “Changing Together” invites all parties of COP24 to take:

  • the decisions necessary to ensure the full implementation of the Paris Agreement (2020).
  • stock of the achievements reached collectively in the High Level phase of the Talanoa Dialogue.

Key themes include:

  • Technology: Development of climate-friendly modern solutions, such as electromobility.
  • Human beings: supportive and fair transition for industrial regions towards a sustainable future.
  • Nature: achieving climate neutrality by absorbing CO 2  emissions by forests, soil and water management

Our goal is to meet leaders and opinion leaders from various sectors to discuss and present solutions for smart agriculture to produce food in a better and more efficient way whilst reducing GHG emissions.
